In 2012, the WPC session voted unanimously on August 5th that our church should join the Fellowship of Presbyterians. This decision was not entered into lightly as we had been studying the possibility for some time. The session believes by joining with other like-minded evangelical Presbyterians we will be able to better serve the kingdom of God.
We are aligning ourselves with other Presbyterians who identify Jesus as Lord, believe the Bible is inspired, authoritative, who value the sanctity of human life and who wish to further the kingdom of God through loving the Lord and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Joining with the Fellowship will enable us to covenant with other churches in this area and around the U.S. who wish to share in best practices, hold one another accountable and grow in faith and ministry together. Ministers will also covenant to pray and walk with each other.
